I’m pooped. This weekend was a flurry of cleaning and running around and entertaining. The next couple of weekends will be spent at Faire, and there’s lots of stuff going on during the weeks as well. I don’t think there’s an entire free weekend on the calendar until like August.
But it’s all good. I had a fantastic Memorial Day. Nathan’s daughter Rosanne and her boyfriend Colin were visiting, so we dragged them all over San Francisco. I believe that a good time was had by all. When you’re sitting on the grass at Chrissy Field eating spectacular local cheese and bread and drinking wine, there’s not much to complain about.

Hey, look! The internets!
Of course, there is no knitting progress to report, since I spent the first half of last week visiting the parentals, and the end of the week (and weekend) at (gulp) Ren Faire. It was (kill me now) way fun.

I’ll have Net access at home by next week if it KILLS me.
I actually have been knitting, though. I knit an entire scarf out of some fairly interesting yarn (duh, I don’t have the ball band with me), and I’m on my second pattern repeat of Interlocking Balloons. It’s a great pattern, and fairly intuitive, but, man, do you have to pay attention to the chart. And y’all know how dumb I am.

Did you ever notice how hard it is to maintain a blog and keep up on your e-mail when you don’t have a Net connection at home?
Man, I sure notice it. Greetings from Nomad Cafe in Berkeley (or is it Oakland?)!
