Ass: 2 - Couch: 0
The couch we have on the set of "The Boys Next Door" is this piece of crap we bought at the St. Vincent dePaul. During rehearsal, I sat on it a little enthusiastically on its stage left end, and it broke. We fixed it and thought nothing more of it (although it does creak a little). Tonight during the performance, during the date scene, Troy must have bounced on it or something (it is all a blur), because the couch collapsed on the OTHER side.
It was terrifying. I had to spend the rest of the play sitting very, very still on the crippled remains of the couch.
Now I'm home, getting eliminated from a poker tournament.

My Brain Is Full
Started my stage managing job at the Big 'Ol Historically Interesting theatre last night. It's like, big and stuff. I feel a little (okay, a lot) overwhelmed, but I expect I'll cope somehow. The director sort of embarrassed me in front of the cast when I didn't know the answer to a question. Amazingly, my head did not explode.
Then I went home and had a very, very large gin & tonic and watched "The Amazing Race". Boy, that Mirna is annoying.

Baaaa
I'm a sheep. I admit it. Everybody cool has a blog, so I want one too. I think it's a psychological trauma from grade school when everybody wore blue jeans with puffy patches on the butt pockets and I wore clothes my mother made. It's funny - now I'd kill to have someone make all my clothes. But it was way traumatic back then.
Anyway, I will not be deterred either by my totally uninteresting life or my complete lack of writing ability. I will have a blog, dammit. I will also have that cute Ann Taylor shirtdresss in this month's Elle.
