Hot and Yummy
Even though it has warmed up again outside, I'm still in a cooking frenzy. Last night I made spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread and green salad, all from (of course) Cook's Illustrated. It was like a real meal and stuff. All it lacked was garnish. The meatballs were great (I've never had spaghetti and meatballs before, but it seemed like something I'd like, and I was right), so was the garlic bread (which I've made before), and the salad was the best I've ever made. It was just Boston lettuce and watercress with a vinaigrette, but something about it just clicked. I could have eaten a whole bowl of it. Yum Yum Yum.
Now I'm waiting for Troy to get here so he can watch this week's Survivor. Apparently he records TV shows with something called a "VCR". It malfunctioned this week, so he asked me to save Survivor on TiVo. I've already seen it, so I'll just say this: That Bubba guy totally deserved to get voted off. The signaling he did at the immunity challenge was like the dumbest thing I've ever seen (besides the complete works of Dubya). And I was getting really tired of his dirty Bob Barker shirt.

I *love* Cook's spaghetti and meatballs. The last time I made it, I forgot to put in the eggs, so the meatballs broke apart and I ended up with spaghetti and meatchunks, but it was still good.

Yeah, I had a couple of chunklets, too. I read the direction about not handling them too much and overcompensated. Next time I'll be a little more forceful.
