Starstruck
Before we left rehearsal last night, Loretta admonished us to stay home and rest on our day off. Troy and I winked, knowing we were going to use our valuable night off by going to see The Opposite of Sex at the Magic Theatre.
Well, it was totally fantastic. The show was great, the actors were great, the space was great. It was like a "Who's in My CD Player" contest. In the show were the fabulous Kerry Butler and Jeff McCarthy. Troy, ever watchful for interesting people in the audience, spotted Robert Kelley and this other guy. It was pretty cool. He was right in front of us in line to be seated. Troy advised me to pretend not to notice. What did he think I was gonna do, throw my underpants at him? (I was wearing my cute new Donna Karan undies, but STILL!)
Anyway, at intermission we were discussing cool people in Assassins, and we couldn't remember the name of the assassin who killed McKinley. I said, "I bet I know who would know", but Rob and Troy wouldn't let me go ask. Meanies.

Wasn't that Czolgoz? (Or however you spell it.)
The other option is Guiteau. I can't remember which one he killed. Maybe Garfield.
I did Assassins 9 years ago, so it's all a bit hazy in my memory.

Czolgosz was the guy who killed McKinley. But I was actually thinking of Guiteau, who killed Garfield. No wonder I was so confused. :)
