Purl-o-rama
Okay, I think I have the purling business down. I went to the fabulous Knitter's Studio in Menlo Park (which had not closed, but had moved down the street) and a nice lady there showed me what I was doing wrong. Actually, she wasn't all that nice about it, but I really appreciated it and thanked her profusely even though she was pretty surly. Now I'm making this fabulous scarf:
If you get it for Christmas, pretend to be surprised.
