honest

going to bed now, really. must put knitting down. must get up in morning to see Lori's matinee.

note to self: when knitting one's first sweater, do not select long tunic-style sweater knitted on #6 needles. it will take forever and frustrate you.

Oh kate, how I miss you and your surly humor. I have found myself here after visiting Kris May's website. (The hottest PhD in the world.) I have been crocheting and I truly relate to your stitching woes. You see, I can't knit as that would require two sets of opposable thumb/index finger combinations so crocheting it is. I can make a scarf and a hat even though I have yet to look at a pattern or learn any of the lingo so I am quite pleased with myself.

It is neat that you are into the theahtah. I have been tap dancing and was just on stage last weekend tapping my little heart out to Juganda by Santana for a large audience of 400 people. (Man, am I sick of that song now.) Anyhow, I screwed up a bunch but it's like being a figure skater, (except for the crying part) no matter how much you practice, there's always a chance you will screw up. I sure hope you are good and junk. From the looks of the picture you are looking like quite the hottie yourself these days. Maybe someday you could take an Alaska plane to Bend and pay me a visit. For crying out lout it's wicked gorgeous around these parts.

Ok later.
Love,
Alice

P.S.

I forgot to mention that David Sedaris came to Bend in November. I got to meet him and chat with him while he signed my book. Actually, he didn't sign it really. He just drew me a jock o'lantern which strangely resemble him. I was quite tickled.

Alice lives! I miss you, too. I was just at La Fiesta yesterday and was thinking of you. :)
