Knowledge is Power

I spent a couple of hours at the yarn store today with an EXTREMELY helpful woman. She showed me what I was doing wrong and showed me a much better way to cast on. I felt sort of bad because I stayed until the shop closed, so I didn't get a chance to buy anything. Oh, well, there's always tomorrow.

Now that I have this lace pattern established, however, I'm finding that I'm not liking the yarn. It's Rowan Calmer in "drift". It's snowy white and super soft, but I think I should have used something wooly instead. I think I'll knit another couple of inches, and if I hate it, I'll use this yarn for something else.

I made vodka penne pasta for dinner. Yum, yum, yum.
