Abbie, don't look!

I mailed Abbie's Cheshire Cat hat (and bonus other stuff) today, so I can post a picture of the hat (but not of the bonus knitted item), which is just too damned cute.

Picture_007The show opened last night. It was fine, no disasters, and the audience seemed to like it. I left the gala early because my eyeballs were tired. I'm going to have PRK surgery on Tuesday at Stanford, and I'd had my pupils dilated earlier in the day. I wanted to have LASIK, but apparently my corneas are too thin. How absolutely unfair that there's a part of me that's prohibitively thin. Oh, well, at least this way I'll be getting some Valium.

You look purdy in the hat. Best wishes on the PRK!

Thanks, pal. I'm trying to get used to not wearing any eye makeup. That's gonna be a tough one.

Do they give you any painkillers with that? Damn, they would have to give me a BUTTLOAD of valium to go anywhere near my eyes with a tool of any kind.

BTW, they have fun fur on sale at Michaels. I'm making Lily a dog sweater out of it. A leetle sweater for a leetle chihuahua. Oh, wait, she is a yorkie. Ay, a wee sweater for a wee doggie.

Allegedly I'll be getting some Vicodin. Don't worry, I won't let them let me leave without some good drugs. What I'm worried about is that the Valium won't be enough. I'm thinking Atavan would be a better choice.

A dog sweater? you so kwazy.

Well, I finally adjusted to life without eye makeup. You can too.

BTW, I don't think the valium is administered to the butt, so don't worry about that. ;-) I once had a camera-down-the-throat-into-stomach procedure to determine why I-felt-sick-whenever-I-ate-and-I-lost-weight-in-a-bad-way and they gave me "twilight sleep". Crikey! It seemed like I was awake, but I don't remember any of the unpleasant things they did to me, other than a vague Linda Lovelace sensation...

That is the cutest hat *ever*. Lucky Abbie. :)

Oh, and good luck on the PRK!

If you want one, I can make you one, too. (man, I still haven't mailed your christmas present. I am the worst cousin ever.) Just tell me what colors. :)

I'd *love* one, though no rush since it's starting to get awfully warm and spring-like around here. Preferably some shade of violet, and whatever other color would complement - grey, maybe?
