Chelsea insists that it's Flower Picture Week, and who the heck am I to argue?
This is Evelyn (as in Crabtree and), one of my David Austins. I love all of my roses, but this is my favorite. The crappy photo doesn't do its luminous color justice, and you certainly can't smell it. This is the best-smelling rose in the whole world. Every time I stick my nose into one of them, I'm blown away by how rich and sweet and fruity the fragrance is.

Kate, thank you for playing FPW! That David Austin is gorgeous.
I had two DA roses when I lived in New Orleans... I can't remember their names but one was the most delicate gorgeous pink and the other was a deep 80s purple. They bloomed constantly for two years!

Evelyn is probably my favorite Austin too (although I have a bunch more this year, so we'll see what I think when they bloom). I love the fragrance and the way the color varies from deep pink to peach.
My best Austin rose photo is here: Jude the Obscure, which has a lovely lemony fragrance.
