borrowed moonlight

I had sort of a nutty day. There's been a mysterious lump on my head ever since Monday morning (well, probably since Sunday night), and it's been aching a little. This morning I woke up and it was just throbbing. My hypochondriac brain immediately said "oh, my god, you have a concussion." So I went and Googled "concussion symptoms". Here's what the CDC had to say:

* Persistent low-grade headaches
* Having more trouble than usual remembering things,
concentrating, or making decisions
* Feeling tired all the time
* Feeling sad, anxious, or listless
* Becoming easily irritated for little or no reason

Geez, it's like somebody was describing my normal state of being. How is a spaz like me supposed to tell if something is wonky or not? Anyway, I napped listlessly (ha ha) on and off for most of the afternoon, then spent a couple of hours sorting through some stuff and trying to get the scanner to cooperate with me. Eventually I emerged out of the fog and made it to rehearsal just in the nick of time to witness the most hilarious brushup rehearsal ever.

Later, Rob and I went to see the Batman movie, which was quite entertaining, although though Rob complained that there wasn't enough naked Katie Holmes.

My head still hurts, but at least it's clearing up.

I think the thing with a concussion is that other people can notice that you are acting strangely. If no one's picked up on it, then it's not that serious ;-p.

I looked to see if I could find any pictures of Ms Holmes in the buff. Found'em. Ho hum.

This reminds me of these posters plastered all over our subways here in Boston - do you feel stressed? disgruntled? do you have trouble falling asleep? do you snap at people? then you might have some awful disease and call this number now to enroll in a clinical trial.

Yeah, that's me on a GOOD day.

But that's my problem, Colleen. Who would be able to tell if I was acting strangely?

Disgruntled, indeed.

I must have had a concusion my entire life. My sister and I have threatened to take away my mother's medical books because she keeps finding new things she think she has.

what does the CDC say about PMS?

Who could tell if I had that, either?
