Curse the evil day!

There's some sort of crazy mistake in the baby blanket. I've frogged a bit, but I still can't figure out where I went wrong. It's not a meltdown-scale event, but it's still driving me bonkers because I can't figure it out.

Oh, well. It'll work itself out. Yesterday at work, I helped some lady fix her knitting problem, and I was pretty pleased with myself. So I'm not a total idiot, I guess.

Oh I hate that. Maybe if you set it down for a while and come back to it, you'll just magically see the mistake. Hey it could happen.

Frequently I will think about a problem for a very long time without touching the work. I play out exactly how it should work, what tools I would use and exactly how I would apply them. This makes it easier to actually do the work when I FINALLY get around to it. And I know exactly what you mean when you say, "Curse the evil day!"
