fear of falling
This is another one of those knitting content-free posts where I've sat in front of my laptop for three hours without finding anything eloquent (simple or otherwise) to say. So I'll leave you with this:
"In me there meet a combination of antithetical elements which are at eternal war with one another. Driven hither by objective influences - thither by subjective emotions - wafted one moment into blazing day, by mocking hope - plunged the next into the Cimmerian darkness of tangible despair, I am but a living ganglion of irreconcilable antagonisms."

I think we all have great internal conflict, at least those of us who are self-aware, and these conflicts drive us by providing a palpable difference between our percieved state and our desired state. To the end, these conflicts remain irreconcilable, unless we give up and give in. Sometimes the fickle winds of conflict drive us off course, and sometimes they push us fast to our true destination. I know what you mean, I'm standing right beside you.

And I'm glad you're in my corner, dearest.
Otherwise, I'd have to whack you over the head with my Complete Annotated Gilbert and Sullivan, and it would leave a nasty lump.

If I was literate,(ROFL) I'm sure I would have recognized the passage. Apparently I am not the very model of a modern Major General.

Oh, and thanks for all the mad props.

That bit has always reminded me of you, actually. I hope there's enough joy and rapture unforeseen to counteract most of the Cimmerian darkness, at least. *hugs and love*
