boobs! yarn!
I think there's a little something for everyone in this post.
First, I went up to Dark Garden to get fitted for my corset. It was extremely cool, and everybody ooh'd and aaa'd over my new, tiny waist. It really was amazing. I just looked at myself in the mirror and couldn't believe it was me. Just wait until the real thing gets made. It's the world's most beautiful fabric.
Then I made my way blissfully down the Peninsula and eventually wound up at work. The Rowan HAD ARRIVED, but hadn't been entirely unpacked. I did get to see the new sparkly Kidsilk Crack, and several new delicious colors of Cashsoft. Besides the Rowan, there was some new Debbie Bliss. Alpaca Silk DK. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Anyway, here's another teaser:
After the yarn fondling, I plunked myself down on the couch with all of the girls for a bit of female bonding. When asked what I was working on, I explained, then ran and tried on the sample sweater. Rebecca screamed, "I have to make that!" and nearly plowed me over trying to get to the Cashsoft to pick a color. Geez. It's not THAT hooty.
Okay, maybe it is.

You and your hooters are very brave :-).
Can you give us some details on the cash-soft sweater? Does the ribbing "bend" around the girls? Does it form any contours. I'd love a straight-on shot (even if it isn't modeled) so that I can understand the shaping better.

Even I can see the ribbing "bend around the girls" and I need new glasses. Holy cow! That's the defining characteristic of that sweater.

oh wait...
that's what you meant, wasn't it? i'm so dang literal...

Well, it's basically a 3 by 3 rib. There's a two by two rib section in there as well, and they sort of travel around with the increases. (it's top-down.) I haven't gotten to the body yet, so I don't really grok how it's shaped, either. I'm still worried about how to add extra boob space.

Great corset! I am sooooo jealous! Does this mean you're doing Dickens? Are you coming to the Vic Pic on Sat. Oct. 8?

Hmm, I wonder if my B cups would look half as hot in the rib.

hoot-tastic, kate. Can't wait to see the "real" corset! You are so cute! And the sweater! Wow! Yowza! You look amazing! That shade of blue is a great color on you. :)

You wear that sweater so well! Curves in the right places -- I envy you.
I signed up for the beginners class that starts 9/29. Hurray for getting my act together! (Now I just need to get my body to the store by 10 a.m. -- no mean feat.)
