It's not easy being green
We've had a pretty mellow, but nice week at work. Here is some Actual Knitting Content for all you suckers who still think this is a knitblog.
First, here is a picture of me warming my cold neck at La Bamba with my orange scarf, still on the needles. It's really, unbelievably beautiful up close, and is one of my favorite things I've ever knitted. (And it isn't even finished.)
Next, we have a very bad photo of Nathania trying on the incredibly hoot-tastic Katrina Rib sweater. I am making it in a luscious rose-pink shade of my new favorite yarn, RY Cashsoft DK.
Still with me, girls? Here's the payoff (and a tease). We've been expecting our fall Rowan shipment every day, and today Nick the hot UPS guy brought us a little appetizer.
With Chloe for scale, here's what three boxes of Rowan looks like. We are expecting 21 more boxes, like tomorrow. We warned Nick to get in and out of the store as fast as he could with the rest of the shipment if he didn't want to be drowned in a fog of estrogen.
And that's all I've got. Must work on my Katrina sweater. I need to get past the yoke so when I visit the store (day off, but I'll be going in) I can have one of the GOOD knitters help me adjust the boob area of the pattern. I'm making the S/M size, since it fits me perfectly, except that it's a little too stretchy in the bust. I'm also giving it slightly longer in the hips and sleeves. It's gonna be great. I can't wait to have this yarn next to my skin. Just knitting with it gives me that Special Feeling, and that's all I'm sayin'.

Oh can't wait to see how the cashoft knits up for you, I have some scrumptious deep red cashsoft DK ordered for a cardigan.

OK, I just looked at the Nathania picture (tha actual one, not the thumbnail) and saw how, um... excited Nathania was to be modeling the sweater. Jesusmaryandjoseph that must be very nice yarn.
