blustery day
Hey, it's winter. It rained and rained today, with the kind of rain that gets on my head and drips down my neck and makes me all cross.
I continued knitting fiendishly, but I'm afraid that the gloves I'm making are going to be too big. My dad has kind of small hands. So far, my Christmas knitting is not going very well.
After I got home from work, I again braved the weather so I could be taken out for my birthday! Woohoo! It was great. I really, really don't get out much and engage in civilized (okay, it was not that civilized) conversation with grownups (and I use the term loosely), so it was super cool to actually DO so.
Now I'm home, watching TV and knitting. Because I love you all (especially Grace), I've photographed my glove-in-progress. It was tough. Those DPNs are poky.

I thought the conversation was pretty civilized...considering the circumstances. LOL.

BTW - Nice picture.

I love you too, Kate. If the gloves are too big for your dad, do you think you could gently felt them to be a little smaller? I bet they'd be really warm.

I thought of that, Grace, but it's sock yarn. Gotta love superwash.

Yeah, I do love the sock yarn. Too bad, though. I hope they end up working out and fitting him without any ripping. That is my holiday wish for you and all your gift knitting. :) Like I'm some kind of pixie fairy that can grant you this wish. Wish I was!
