Sympathy For the Devil
Totally surreal morning. Had a weird, difficult session with my therapist. Afterwards, I was totally wrung out, but later in the day a strange stillness came over me. It might be one of those eye of the hurricane things, but I'll take the respite from chaos.
Yesterday, I decided that I was so behind on my Christmas knitting that I might as well cast on something for myself. After much debate, I started making the Pashmina Cowl from Last Minute Knitted Gifts. I love, love, love the fingering-weight Claudia, but it's pooling sort of oddly. See?
Yes, Virginia, I am biting my nails again. Sigh. Here's a better picture, with the knitting adorning my martini. (None of my peeps at rehearsal wanted to go drinking tonight, so I'm taking matters into my own hands. And these people call themselves actors. Sheesh.)

Do I spy, with my little eye, a darning needle in your martini? I say wait the pooling out, it might be that there is some method to the pooling. I found that to be true with my Lorna's Laces sock yarn. Hugs, kisses and boobs!

I went to the store again and missed you! Again! I did take a look at the Claudia, though. Yummy stuff. I thought you weren't going to get any? ;)
I did knit something. Nothing so posh as your cowl though. It's my first felted item -- a hotpad. I'll probably make lots more.
