You know you're a knitter when...
You've made yourself a martini and you find that you are out of toothpicks (or sterling silver olive picks (christmas is coming, HINT HINT)). It would be uncouth to stick one's finger into one's martini to retrieve the olives, so what do you do?
Yes, that's right. It's a darning needle. And to those who think it's too early for me to be sitting here all alone drinking martinis, bite me.
Must knit now. Finished Abbie's scarf today, just have to weave in the ends. Wonder where my darning needle is?
Comments
Good, you use a yarn needle.
More important: what's your martini recipe? Care to publish THAT design :)?

I don't see anything wrong in the picture. Except who needs two darned olives anyway?
Colleen, here's my recipe:
Shaker half full of ice.
Open the bottle of vermouth, pour just a teaspoon or so in the ice.
Three (yes three) oz of BOMBAY SAPPHIRE
Shake, like you really mean it.
Pour over one or two olives on a darning needle in one of those snarky martini glasses. Or follow this...

I am so all about multiple olives. That's all I'm sayin'.
Except thank you for divulging your martini recipe. Now I don't have to feel like I'm revealing state secrets.

Cool photo of your drinkie.
And it's never too early. ;)

Hey --
I think I saw you on Saturday. Unfortunately, it was during your tea party, so I couldn't introduce myself. As predicted, we crapped out too early for French Postcards. :(
I don't drink martini's, but do enjoy fishing the gin soaked olives out of friend's and family's drinks.

I see nothing wrong with your use of the darning needle. Nothing wrong whatsoever!
