socks that make you go "hmmmm", part 2
Maybe it is just the heat melting my tiny little brain, but is this festive orange STR yarn too busy for this pattern? It's "Flicker", by the fabulously talented and helpful

What the heck, I'll be the voice of dissent...I think it's lovely. I think if the yarn wasn't monochromatic, it would be too busy, but because it's all orange it works, at least in my opinion.

sometimes i think patterns and multi-colored yarn doesn't go well together. for your sock, it works very well.
