the good news

There's apparently nothing wrong with my heart - no disease or growths or shit.

Oh, you want some *actual* news? So do I. The doctor was totally unwilling/unable to come up with any reason why my chest hurts like a #*%!& and I can't breathe and I'm bloated and all that jazz. Apparently I'm supposed to be so grateful that they didn't find "anything serious" that I didn't notice that they can't tell me ANYTHING. Seriously. He was about to hang up the phone when I said, "Um, so, I'm supposed to just sit here in pain?" and he said (and I am not making this up), "Well, you could take a couple of Aleve."

Note to self: Call Dr. House.

Yay! That nothing is seriously wrong.

Boo! That your doctor sounds like a moron. Do you think your symptoms could be related to allergies or maybe because of pollution?7483

"...take a couple of Aleve"?!?!

Um. Yeah. That sounds like a sound plan.

Glad nothing is seriously wrong, though!

Well, I'm glad that there's nothing wrong with your heart. Could you have pulled a muscle or something?

Yeah, call House. You're going to need a second opinion anyway. If your doctor can't help you, try another doctor.

well, we both know there are a lot of douchebag docs in the world :P Survey says you have a right to compassionate care and a second opinion.

I wish folks could pay doctors based on actual findings.

You should come and drink wine with me!
