Okay, what about this house? You like it? Good, because I love it and our offer on it has been accepted. We're reviewing the inspection reports (they were done three months ago) tonight. Wish us luck.
I really liked the red house, but I am bonkers about this one. Yes, the kitchen was last remodeled in the 'sixties (I actually sort of love the avocado green Kitchenaid dishwasher), and some doofus faux-finished the hardwood floors, but that shit is fixable.
I'm going to just shut up now and wait until we see these reports.

I am diggin the wide staircase to the front door. I can see you sprawled out on it with a "drinkie", a great sun hat and some knitting needles. ;)

Everything happens for a reason. While we were going through the process on the red house, this one dropped into our price range, and, because the inspections are already done and look fine, we'll be able close just a few days later than we would have closed on the red house. Thank you, Fate.
